Cowboy Wrestling Heads to Reno

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State wrestling team travels to Reno, Nev., this weekend to compete at the prestigious Reno Tournament of Champions on Sunday.
The tournament annually includes some of the top wrestling talent from across the country. In addition to the second-ranked Cowboys, this year's event includes wrestlers from Adams State, Air Force, Appalachian State, Arizona State, Boise State, Cal Poly, CSU Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Clackamas, Great Falls, Michigan State, Montana State, Ohio, Oregon State, Southern Oregon, Stanford, SUNY Binghamton, West Virginia and Wyoming.
The Cowboys will send 14 athletes to the all-day contest, as Jon Morrison, Ladd Rupp, Jordan Oliver, Josh Kindig, Julian Feikert, Luke Silver, Jamal Parks, Albert White, Dallas Bailey, Chris McNeil, Chris Perry, Cayle Byers, Blake Rosholt and Alan Gelogaev are all set to compete.
Several OSU athletes have competed at the event in past years. Gelogaev won the 197-pound title in 2009, Oliver won the 133-pound title in 2009 and Parks won the 141-pound title in 2009. McNeil and Silver have also competed at the event before.
Oklahoma State resumes its dual schedule Dec. 30 when the Cowboys take on the Boise State Broncos in Idaho.
