2010-11: Earned All-America status for the first time with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships ... Advanced to the championship quarterfinals at the event before being bumped into the wrestleback, where he rebounded to claim three victories and secure All-America honors ... Finished with a 30-5 overall record that included six wins over ranked opponents and three wins over eventual All-Americans ... Won his second straight Big 12 title in comfortable fashion, picking up a 7-4 win over Iowa State's Max Mayfield in the semifinals and pitching a 4-0 shutout of Missouri's Kyle Bradley in the finals ... Won each of his last four regular-season bouts against ranked opponents, highlighted by a 3-1 sudden victory triumph over No. 3 Jason Chamberlain of Boise State ... Parks' upset win over Bailey in that match was instrumental in the Cowboys winning the team title by 1.5 points over No. 2 Iowa State ... The win over Bailey at Big 12s marked the highest-ranked opponent Parks has beaten in his OSU career ... Advanced to the Big 12 championship bout after scoring the winning takedown with only 15 seconds left on the clock in his 7-6 win over Missouri's Todd Schavrien in the semifinals ... Entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 2 seed in his weight class ... Won his first two bouts at nationals before losing in the quarterfinals to No. 10 Tyler Nauman of Pittsburgh and falling in his first wrestleback bout ... 2008-09: Third-place finisher at the Big 12 Championships strung together a 29-10 record that included a 16-6 mark in dual competition and five wins over ranked opponents ... Premier win was a 10-7 victory over No. 6 Mike Thorn of Minnesota in Minneapolis ... Won five of his last six regular season bouts ... Claimed a win over Army's William Simpson at the NCAA Championships ... Won his first Bedlam Series match with a 10-7 decision over No. 12 Zack Bailey of Oklahoma in Norman, then improved to 2-0 in Bedlam with a 2-1 win over former high school teammate Seth Vernon in Stillwater later in the year ... Rattled off 10 straight wins during one stretch ... His 51 takedowns ranked second on the team ... Won the 141-pound bracket at the Central Missouri Open to start the season and was the runner-up at the Reno Tournament of Champions.
2007-08 (Redshirt Year): Led all of Oklahoma State's redshirts with a 16-1 overall record competing exclusively in open tournaments ... Lone loss of the year was to OSU teammate and NCAA qualifier Tyler Shinn in the semifinal round at the Central Missouri State Open ... Avenged that loss by handing Shinn a 7-3 defeat at the Oklahoma Open later in the season ... Won his bracket at the Kaufman-Brand Open, the Oklahoma Open and the Roger Denker Open ... Claimed seven wins by major decision and one by technical fall ... One of his major decision wins was a 16-5 beating over Missouri's Nick Velliquette at the Central Missouri State Open ...
