Toni Young Named Preseason All-Big 12

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State junior Toni Young was named to the 2011-12 Women's Basketball All-Big 12 Team it was announced today by the league office.
The preseason honors were chosen in a vote of the league's head coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
A second-team All-Big 12 pick a year ago, the Del City, Okla., native is coming off a campaign that saw her rank 11th in the league in scoring at 15.5 points per game. Young was the Big 12's leading rebounder at 9.1 rebounds per contest and was also second in the league with 14 double-doubles.
Young and the Cowgirls will begin the 2011-12 campaign with an exhibition contest against Fort Hays State on Nov. 9 in Stillwater.
