Cowgirls In Third At Longhorn Invite

AUSTIN, Texas - Oklahoma State's women's golf team opened its fourth and final event of the fall on Monday with a 290 at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational to stand in third place at the University of Texas Golf Club.
The Cowgirls' 2-over score put them two back of Texas, which posted a 288, for second place at the par-72, 6,344-yard layout. Florida fired a 3-under 285 to stand three shots clear of the field.
Florida also produced the round's individual leader after Evan Jensen carded a 4-under 68.
OSU's Kelsey Vines was one of two Cowgirls to crack the top 10, posting a 70 to stand in a tie for third place. The junior birdied her second hole and made the turn at even-par 36 after logging her lone bogey of the day at the eighth. On her inward nine, Vines posted birdies at the 13th and the 17th to get to her 2-uner score.
Sophomore Amy Ruengmateekhun joined her teammate in the top 10, finishing tied for seventh place with a 1-under 71.
Sophomore Jayde Panos' 72 tied her for 12th place, while junior Hillary Wood finished the day tied for 50th place after carding a 77.
Sophomore Josephine Janson rounded out the lineup with a 78 to stand in a tie for 58th place.
The Cowgirls will begin their second round at 9:45 a.m. (CST) and will be grouped with Florida and Texas.
