Cowgirls Travel To Austin To Take On Texas
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (13-4, 1-3) will look earn its first Big 12 road win of the season on Saturday when it travels to Austin, Texas to face the Texas Longhorns (11-7, 0-4) at 5 p.m.The Cowgirls picked up their first league win on Tuesday, knocking off Colorado, 58-49, in Stillwater. The Longhorns return home looking to earn their first league win after falling at Texas A&M, 80-65, during the midweek.
OSU—Texas... The Series
Texas leads the overall series by a 23-9 count and has won 12 of the 15 in Austin. UT won 20 of the first 23 meetings, but the Cowgirls have taken six of the last nine with the two squads splitting the past two season series. Last year, OSU lost, 77-63, in Austin before posting a 73-72 overtime win at home.
Scouting Texas
The Longhorns have endured a tough stretch that has seen them lose four-straight games. However, three of those contests have come against ranked opponents in Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Texas is 6-3 overall this season at home. Six of the Longhorns' losses this season have come against teams currently in the Top 25 with non-conference losses at Stanford and Michigan State and at home against Tennessee also on the record. Chassidy Fussell is the top-scoring freshman in the league and ranks sixth overall with her 17.2 points per outing.

Freshman Vicky McIntyre has 34 blocked shots and is tied with Christian Hood for ninth on the school's single-season list ... she is one shy of tying for 8th on the school's single-season list with Jodi Fisher and just four away from the No. 6 spot ... OSU has forced nine of its last 11 opponents into at least 20 turnovers ... five of the last seven games in the series have been decided by seven points or less.
