Cowgirls Return Home To Face Colorado
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (12-4, 0-3) will look to end a three-game losing streak on Tuesday at 6 p.m. when the Colorado Buffaloes (10-6, 1-2) come calling. The Cowgirls are coming off back-to-back losses to top-10 opponents, falling to No. 7 Texas A&M before last Saturday's loss at top-ranked Baylor. Colorado comes to town fresh off its first Big 12 win, a 66-60 overtime victory against Iowa State in Boulder over the weekend.
OSU—CU... The Series
Colorado holds a 26-24 all time against the Cowgirls. However, OSU has won four straight against the Buffaloes after a 74-63 win in Boulder last year. OSU has won 12 of the 20 meetings in Stillwater and has the last three tilts inside at home. CU last won inside Gallagher-Iba Arena in 2003.
Scouting Colorado
Colorado snapped a two-game losing skid of its own over the weekend with a 66-60 overtime win against Iowa State to get its first conference win under first-year head coach Linda Lappe. Like OSU, the Buffaloes have played a home-heavy schedule, posting a 10-2 mark in Boulder. Colorado is winless in three road games. Brittany Spears leads the squad with her 17.5 points per game, which also ranks fifth in the Big 12. Chucky Jeffery is also averaging double figures at 15.3 points per game and is third in the Big 12 in rebounding at 9.2 boards per game.
