Cowgirls Wrap Up Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team concluded its play at the Georgia Tech Invitational Sunday, splitting six singles matches against Yale and picking up a doubles win over Georgia Tech.
The Cowgirls started the day with three doubles matches against the host team Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, as seniors Sasha Belova and Sarah Meghoufel knocked off Yellow Jackets Rocio Lopez and Lynn Blau, 8-6.
Two more OSU doubles teams competed against Georgia Tech, falling 9-7 and 8-4.
OSU then met Yale on the singles courts, where Belova improved her fall record to 3-0 with a three set win over Yale's Annie Sullivan.
Meghoufel and junior Alisa Buslaieva also picked up singles wins, handling their opponents in straight sets.
Kanyapat Narattana finished off her tournament with a tough three set loss to Yale's Kim Szokol, while C.C. Sardinha and Nataliya Shatkovskaya both lost in two sets.
The Cowgirls return to action in a week, traveling to Norman, Okla., Sept. 24-26 for the Oklahoma Fall Tournament.
