Stillwater, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's James Anderson has been named a 2010 State Farm Coaches' Division I third-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, it was announced today. He becomes just the sixth Cowboy in school history to receive All-America honors from the NABC.
Anderson is the first NABC All-American from OSU since Joey Graham was a third-team honoree in 2005. He joins Bryant Reeves (third team, 1995), Byron Houston (second team, 1992), Bob Mattick (second team, 1954) and Gale McArthur (second team, 1951) as the only Cowboys to receive All-America status from the coaches association.
The 2010 State Farm All-America first team consists of Kansas' Sherron Collins, Wesley Johnson of Syracuse, Villanova's Scottie Reynolds, Evan Turner of Ohio State and Kentucky's John Wall. The second team includes Kansas' Cole Aldrich, DeMarcus Cousins of Kentucky, Purdue's Robbie Hummel, Jon Scheyer of Duke and Maryland's Greivis Vasquez.
Anderson is joined on the third team by West Virginia's Da'Sean Butler, Jimmer Fredette of BYU, Notre Dame's Luke Harangody and Greg Monroe of Georgetown.
