Cowgirls Finish Competition at St. Mac

WALNUT, Calif. – Oklahoma State's Cowgirl track team completed its competition at the Mt. Sac Relays with Kendra Woodson, Felicity Milton and Mihaela Susa turning in good marks in their events.
Junior Felicity Milton competed in the 10,000 meter run finishing fifth with a time of 34.17.71. Depending on the results of other events contested around the country, Milton could have a top 10 time in this event. Sophomore
Kendra Woodson also had an impressive run during the 3,000 meter steeplechase placing sixth with a time of 10:33.17. Junior Clarissa Andrews scored her season best mark at the triple jump with a distance of 12.13 meters, placing seventh.
Senior Mihaela Susa had the highest scores of the day running the 1,500 meter run in 4:13.08 beating her own record and school record by five seconds.
"I am thrilled for her," Head Coach Dave Smith said. "She ran her race perfectly and it was an awesome run today. She is now third in the NCAA at this event."
Susa, who ran the same event last year at the relays with a time of 4:18, was excited about her accomplishments during the meet.
"I felt really good in the race from the beginning," Susa said. "I didn't know how fast I was going so I didn't even know I had ran a 4:13. I was really good to beat my record by five seconds."
The Cowgirls split the weekend with competitors going to both the Mt. Sac Relays and the John Jacob's Invitational in Norman, Okla. The Cowgirls will finish out the weekend with the second day of competition Saturday in Norman.
