Caroline Hedwall Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Caroline Hedwall has been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for the second time this season it was announced by the league office.

Hedwall, who earned her first distinction of the year last September, was honored for the month of February after winning both events in which she played. The Loddekopinge, Sweden native took top honors at both the Lady Puerto Rico Classic and the Arizona Wildcat Invitational for her second and third wins of the year, respectively.

The sophomore fired rounds of 74, 65 and 70 to win the event in Puerto Rico before posting rounds of 70 and 66 at the rain-shortened Arizona event to finish first. Hedwall's 65 matched her career-best round. She is currently ranked third in the country in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.
