Cowgirls Set For Round One of Bedlam
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (18-4, 6-2) will look to bounce back from a midweek loss at Nebraska on Saturday when it hosts Oklahoma (15-6, 5-3) at 2 p.m. in Stillwater. The Sooners will also be looking to rebound from a loss after falling, 75-57, to Texas in Norman on Wednesday. Saturday's contest will be televised by Fox Sports Net with Drew Goodman and Debbie Antonelli handling the play-by-play and color duties, respectively.
Cowgirls and Sooners ... The Series
OU leads the all-time series 48-35. The Sooners have won the last three meetings and 20 of the last 21 overall. The Cowgirls' lone win during that stretch was an 82-63 victory on Jan. 12, 2008. OSU is 17-19 all time against the Sooners at home after last year's 93-75 loss inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Scouting The Sooners
The Sooners come to Stillwater looking to rebound from a 75-57 home loss to Texas on Wednesday night. OU is 5-4 this season in true road games, but won its last outing at Texas Tech on Jan. 30. Like OSU, the Sooners will be looking to avoid their first consecutive losses of the season. Danielle Robinson is one of four active players averaging double figures and paces the squad at 16.4 points per contest. Amanda Thompson ranks second in the league in rebounding at 9.8 boards per game, while Robinson ranks fourth in the Big 12 at 5.1 assists per game.
