Up Next
Oklahoma State will return home to host the Kansas Jayhawks (27-1, 13-0) on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. That game will be televised by CBS. The Cowboys will then head to College Station, Texas, to take on the Texas A&M Aggies on Wednesday, March 3, at 8 p.m. inside Reed Arena. That game will be televised by ESPN2.
Rough Road Ahead
It doesn't get any easier for the Cowboys as the regular season wraps up. Following OSU's home win over the 22nd-ranked Baylor Bears last Saturday, the Cowboys head to Austin, Texas, to face the No. 21 Texas Longhorns on Wednesday night. Then, it's back home for a marquee matchup with top-ranked Kansas, followed by a road trip to College Station, Texas, to face the 22nd-ranked Texas A&M Aggies. On two occasions in Cowboy Basketball history, Oklahoma State has played four-straight games against ranked opponents, but both occurrences have come in the postseason. OSU has played three-consecutive opponents on several occasions during the regular season, but this will mark the first time that the Cowboys will play four-straight top-25 opponents during the regular season.
Against Ranked Opponents
Oklahoma State is 3-2 this season against ranked teams, with wins over No. 22 Texas Tech to open conference play, a road victory over 10th-ranked Kansas State and a home win over No. 22 Baylor last Saturday. The Cowboys have lost at 22nd-ranked Baylor at home to No. 9 Texas. Oklahoma State is 61-155 (28.2 percent) all-time against higher-ranked opponents, including a 25-38 (39.7 percent) mark over the past nine seasons. The Cowboys have now recorded an upset over at least two ranked opponents in each of the past eight seasons. Last year, OSU defeated No. 25 Texas in Stillwater and sixth-ranked Oklahoma in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championship.
