Andrea Riley Named To Lieberman Award List

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley has been named to the list of final nominees for the 11th annual Nancy Lieberman Award it was announced today. The award is presented by the Rotary Club of Detroit to the top collegiate point guard in women's Division I basketball.
For the third-straight year, Riley leads the Big 12 in scoring at 25.2 points per game and currently ranks second in the league in assists at 6.7 per contest. Her totals stand fifth and seventh, respectively, in the national rankings.
The Dallas, Texas native was also a candidate for the award the past two seasons. Riley made the finalist list during her sophomore year.
The criteria for the award are the floor leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills that personified Hall of Famer, Nancy Lieberman during her career. Sportswriters from across the country have determined this final nominee list. They will select three finalists from this list and one winner at the beginning of April 2010.
The announcement of the three finalists and one winner will be made during the Final Four Weekend (April 4-6, 2010). This year's award will be presented at a noon luncheon at The Detroit Athletic Club on April 21, 2010 in Detroit, Michigan.
