Cowboys Finish Competition in Norman

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Cowboy track team sent numerous runners to the Sooner Open I at the Mosier Indoor Facility on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
The Cowboys competed in the mile run, 800 meter run and the 3,000 meter run.
Johnathan Stublaski led the Cowboys in the 800 meter run, placing second with a time of 1:54.59. His time narrowly missed out on the NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 1:51.40. Teammate Sean Fleming finished a spot behind Stublaski with a time of 1:56.57.
Matthew Perez placed second in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:58.28. Klaus Schmidt also competed in the 3,000 and finished sixth with a time of 9:09.22.
The milers kicked off the action for the Cowboys, with Ryan Prentice's ninth-place finishing leading seven orange and black runners across the line. Prentice posted a time of 4:32.13.
