Cowgirls Look To Rebound Against Tech
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (18-5, 6-3) will look snap its first losing streak of the season on Saturday night at 6 p.m. when it hosts Texas Tech (14-9, 2-7). The Cowgirls had the midweek off after last Saturday's 77-66 loss to Oklahoma, while the Lady Raiders are coming off a 57-54 win over Texas A&M. For OSU, the loss was its second straight, snapping a 13-game home winning streak.
Cowgirls and Lady Raiders ... The Series
Tech holds a 26-16 advantage in the all-time series. However, the Cowgirls won two of three last year, including a 63-57 triumph in the Big 12 Championship. Overall, OSU has won four of the last five after Tech had won 22 of 24. Tech has won two of the last three in Gallagher-Iba Arena and holds a 10-9 advantage in Stillwater.
Scouting The Lady Raiders
Texas Tech comes to town fresh off its second conference victory of the year after knocking off No. 13 Texas A&M, 57-54, on Wednesday. The win snapped a six-game losing streak for the Lady Raiders. Tech is 1-5 this season in true road games, including an 0-4 mark against conference opponents. The Lady Raiders lead the Big 12 with their 10.9 steals per game. Ashlee Roberson is third among league players with her 8.8 rebounds per contest. Monique Smalls is fifth in the league with her 2.3 steals and seventh with her 3.9 assists per game.
