Cowgirls To Face Wisconsin
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (7-0) will continue its seven-game homestand on Sunday against Wisconsin (2-6) at 2 p.m. The Cowgirls are coming off a 55-52 win on Thursday against UALR. Sunday's tilt is part of the inaugural Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge.
The contest will be the first of two consecutive Cowboy Sports Network telecasts for OSU. Check local listings for channel information. Chad McKee (PxP) and Anne O'Neil (color) will have the call.
OSU-Wisconsin ... The Series
The Cowgirls won the only meeting between the two schools. OSU defeated the Badgers, 65-59 on Dec. 11, 1992 at the Memphis State Tournament.
Scouting Wisconsin
Wisconsin finds itself in the midst of a six-game losing streak after its 59-51 home loss to Duke on Thursday. The Badgers opened the year with a pair of wins before their current six-game stretch. Of their six losses, two have come against common opponents for the Cowgirls. Wisconsin lost at home in overtime to Kansas on Nov. 21, 93-86 in addition to its most recent setback against the Blue Devils. Alyssa Karel is one of two players scoring in double figures for the Badgers at 13.8 points per game. Tara Steinbauer checks in at 11.0 points per contest and is the squad's leading rebounder at 7.4 boards per game. The Badgers are 1-2 in road games this year.

The Cowgirls have won 47-straight games inside Gallagher-Iba Arena against non-conference foes ... OSU will look to start the season 8-0, which would match its best start under head coach Kurt Budke .... OSU started the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons 8-0 ...
