Cowgirls Continue Homestand With UAPB
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (9-1) returns to action on Monday at 7 p.m. when it plays host to Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-8) inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowgirls are coming off a 77-48 win over Oral Roberts on Dec. 22 in which Toni Young matched her career high with 25 points and added 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the year. Admission for the game will be free. The game is OSU's fifth of a seven-game homestand to wrap up non-conference play.
OSU-UAPB ... The Series
The Cowgirls and Golden Lions have met on two previous occasions with OSU prevailing both times. The first meeting came in 2005 with the Cowgirls coming away with a 77-53 win. In 2008, OSU hosted UAPB and posted a 91-45 victory.
Scouting UAPB
The Golden Lions enter the matchup looking for their first win of the year after falling at Kentucky, 107-35, on Dec. 21. Seven of UAPB's eight games have come on the road this season. The Golden Lions lone home contest thus far was a 75-61 loss to Central Arkansas on Dec. 18. UAPB has a pair of players scoring in double figures. Laquisha Slaton leads the way at 12.6 points per game, while Jasmine Abrams checks in at 12.5 points per outing. Abrams is also the squad's leading rebounder at 6.1 boards per game.

The Cowgirls have forced their last four opponents into a combined 107 turnovers ... each of the four, UALR (22), Wisconsin (25), Duke (25) and Oral Roberts (35), all had at least 20 turnovers ... OSU enters the contest ranked fifth nationally in scoring defense at 48.9 points per game ... OSU has held six of its 10 opponents under 50 points and has allowed just one (Duke) to score more than 70.
