Cowgirls Look To Bounce Back Against ORU
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (8-1) will look to rebound from its first loss of the season when it hosts Oral Roberts (5-6) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cowgirls last played on Dec. 12, falling to Duke, 73-45. OSU did not play last week due to final exams. Wednesday's contest will be the fourth in OSU's current seven-game homestand.
OSU-ORU ... The Series
OSU owns a 24-15 record in the series and has won four in a row against the Golden Eagles. The last three meetings have taken place in Stillwater. Last year, the Cowgirls logged a 90-65 win that came with historical significance as Andrea Riley scored 28 points to become the program's all-time leading scorer.
Scouting Oral Roberts
ORU comes to town also looking to bounce back from a loss in its most recent outing. The Golden Eagles lost, 80-63, at Arkansas on Dec. 16 and are now 3-2 in road games. Sophomore Kevi Luper paces the squad with her 23.5 points per game and currently ranks seventh nationally in scoring. Luper is also seventh in the country with her 49 percent success rate from the 3-point line. Sophomore Jaci Bigham is ninth nationally in free throw percentage at 94 percent. ORU ranks 16th with its 80.7 points per game and is 10th with 13.9 steals per contest.

The Cowgirls have forced their last three opponents into a combined 72 turnovers ... each of the three, UALR (22), Wisconsin (25) and Duke (25), all had at least 20 turnovers ... OSU enters the contest ranked fifth nationally in scoring defense at 48.9 points per game ... OSU has held five of its nine opponents under 50 points and has allowed just one (Duke) to score more than 70.
