Game Information
Oklahoma State travels down I-35 this weekend to take part in the Lane Furniture All-College Classic. Tipoff for the Cowboys and Alabama is set for 5:30 pm and the game will be televised by ESPN2. Jon Sciambi will handle the play-by-play duties while Hubert Davis will provide color commentary. It is the 75th annual tournament and OSU's 10th-consecutive trip to the Classic. The Cowboys are 7-2 in the All-College since going with the Classic format in 2001.
About Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State is 9-1 this season and coming off an 84-70 win over Missouri State on Saturday night in Stillwater. The Cowboys have won nine of their first 10 games for the second-straight season and for the seventh time in the last 10 years.
The Pokes have a +10.7 scoring margin this season and are outrebounding their opponents by an average of 8.5 boards per game. Excluding the two overtime periods against La Salle, OSU is giving up an average of just 59.6 points this season during regulation. Offensively, the Cowboys are shooting 46.8 percent from the floor, but just 29.1 percent from three-point range. OSU is also averaging nearly 34 points per game in the paint, 14 points more than the opponent.
Senior forward Marshall Moses is leading the team in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game, and is shooting nearly 62.5 percent from the floor. Junior guard Keiton Page is chipping in 14.7 points per contest while shooting 87.5 percent from the free-throw line. Eight different players have played in every game this season, and all eight are averaging 10 or more minutes per game. Those eight players are averaging 96 percent of the team's scoring and 91 percent of the team's rebounding.
About Alabama
Alabama is 5-5 this season after a 59-38 win over Southeastern Louisiana. The Crimson Tied lost back-to-back road games — at Purdue (66-47) and Providence (82-70). All five of the Crimson Tide's wins have come at home and all five losses are away from Tuscaloosa. UA is led by junior forward JaMychal Green who leads the team in scoring (13.7 ppg) and is second in rebounding (7.3 rpg). Sophomore forward Tony Mitchell leads the team in rebounding (8.5) and is second in scoring (13.5). Senario Hillman and Trevor Releford are both averaging 10 points per contest.
Up Next
Oklahoma State will host Stanford (6-2) on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 8 pm inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The game is the final contest of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series which began four years ago. The Cowboys will take off some time for the holiday break before returning to action on New Year's Eve as OSU heads to Spokane, Wash., to face the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
