Stillwater, Okla. — Oklahoma State senior Marshall Moses has been named the Big 12 Conference's men's basketball Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office. It is Moses' first such honor.
Moses averaged 22 points and 7.5 rebounds last week as Oklahoma State recorded victories at Tulsa and over Missouri State. The Cowboy forward began the week with a career-high 31 points versus Tulsa, setting an OSU and Big 12 record for field-goal percentage by connecting on 12-of-12 shots from the floor. Over a three-game span, he connected on 15-consecutive shots from the floor.
Moses became the first Cowboy since 1995 to score 30 points in back-to-back outings after scoring 30 points at La Salle in the previous game. He then added 13 points and nine boards versus Missouri State. On the week, he shot 84.2 percent (16-of-19) from the floor to go along with 11-of-13 (.846) from the free throw line.
Moses and the Cowboys (9-1) will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 18, as they travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Lane All-College Classic. Tipoff at the OKC Arena is set for 5:30 pm and the game will be televised by ESPN2.
