Game Information
Oklahoma State opens the 2010-11 season by hosting the Houston Baptist Huskies on Saturday, Nov. 13, inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The game will be played as the second contest in a doubleheader with the Cowgirls. OSU's women will host Texas Southern at 1 pm, and the Cowboys' game will take place immediately following the women's game.
OSU is 77-24 all-time in season openers (76.2 percent) including a 15-game winning streak. The Cowboys are 89-12 in season home openers all-time (88.1 percent), including a current 35-game winning streak. In fact, since 1936, OSU has won 72 of its last 75 home openers, good for a .960 winning percentage. Oklahoma State is 9-1 all-time against Houston Baptist. About Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State concluded the exhibition portion of the 2010-11 season last Friday with a 102-38 win over the Campbellsville (Ky.) Tigers. In two exhibition contests, the Cowboys averaged 94 points and outscored their opponents by an average of 42 points. OSU shot 52.4 percent from the floor, including 41 percent from the three-point line, and outrebounded its two opponents by an average of 12.5 boards per contest.
Oklahoma State enters the regular season with a record of 1,497-1,041 all-time on the hardwood, good for a 59.0 winning percentage. The Cowboys are in their third season under the direction of head coach Travis Ford, who has led OSU to the NCAA Tournament in his first two seasons at the helm of the Cowboys.
About Houston Baptist
Houston Baptist lost its only exhibition game of the season, falling to McMurry 64-60 at home on Saturday night. Senior forward Andrew Gonzalez led the Huskies with 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the floor. No other HBU player reached double figures. McMurry outrebounded the Huskies 40-26, the only glaring discrepancy in the statistics. HBU trailed at halftime 34-22, but the rally fell short as the Huskies outscored McMurry 38-30 in the second period.

Oklahoma State will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 7 pm inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. OSU is 7-0 all-time against the Islanders, including an 82-59 victory in the last meeting on Dec. 14, 2008, in Corpus Christi, Texas. OSU will host Nicholls State on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 3 pm in GIA. It will be the first meeting between the two schools on the hardwood.
