About Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State is 11-2 this season and coming off a 63-59 loss vs Rhode Island in Connecticut on Saturday. James Anderson leads OSU and the Big 12 Conference in scoring at 21.2 points per game. Oklahoma State's three guards — sophomore Keiton Page and freshmen Ray Penn and Fred Gulley — have combined for 73 assists and just 38 turnovers, a 1.92 assist-to-turnover ratio among the primary ball handlers. Marshall Moses leads the Pokes and ranks third in the Big 12 with his 10.2 rebounds per contest. OSU is averaging just 11.4 turnovers per game, the lowest average in school history. Oklahoma State has held 12 opponents to 70 points or less and five to fewer than 60 points this season.
About Coppin State
Coppin State is 5-6 overall this season and currently on a three-game road losing streak after falling at Navy 78-75 on Dec. 30. The Eagles are led by sophomore guard Lenny Young who is averaging 12.6 points per game. Two other players — junior guards Vince Goldsberry and Kareem Brown — are both averaging better than 10 points per contest. As a team, CSU is shooting 34.7 percent from long range, but averaging just 13 attempts beyond the arc per game. OSU will open up Big 12 Conference action this Saturday when the Cowboys host Texas Tech (12-2) at 7 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The game will be televised by the Cowboy Sports Network. Oklahoma State will travel to Norman to face the Oklahoma Sooners (8-5) on Monday night as part of ESPN's Big Monday package at 8 p.m.
