Texas leads the all-time series with Oklahoma State 40-35, including an 18-9 mark since the two schools joined the Big 12 Conference. The Cowboys won the last meeting, a 68-59 victory in Stillwater last February. James Anderson had 16 points in that game while Marshall Moses added 15 points and 16 rebounds. Oklahoma State has won five of the last seven meetings in Gallagher-Iba Arena, and the two games that the Longhorns won were by a combined three points (74-73 in 2005 and 63-61 in 2008). The game on Jan. 16, 2007, is still one of the classic basketball games of all time, with the Cowboys picking up a 105-103 win in triple overtime.

• Dexter Pittman, a senior center for the Longhorns, is the son of Johnny Pittman, who played at Oklahoma State for three seasons (1988-91). Johnny ranks ninth in school history for career blocked shots (91).
• Jai Lucas, a junior guard for Texas, is the younger brother of John Lucas, III, who was the starting point guard on Oklahoma State's Final Four (2004) and Sweet 16 (2005) teams.
• Shawn Williams, a freshman forward at UT, was a high school teammate of both Reger Dowell and Roger Franklin at Duncanville High School.
Against Ranked Opponents in Gallagher-Iba Arena
Oklahoma State is 20-8 over the last 12 seasons against ranked opponents inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. That record includes a 79-61 victory over No. 22 Texas Tech earlier this season. That total also includes a 6-1 mark vs. the Texas Longhorns when they came to Stillwater as a ranked team. The Cowboys have beaten UT three times in the past seven seasons in Gallagher-Iba Arena when the 'Horns were ranked in the top 10 (82-77 win over No. 3 Texas on Feb. 22, 2003; 76-67 victory over 10th-ranked UT on March 1, 2004; and a 81-60 win over No. 6 Texas on Feb. 19, 2006).
