Cowboy Tennis Falls to Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 24th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team finished its competition at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend Sunday with a 4-1 loss to No. 12 Texas A&M at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.
The Cowboys won the first match of the day as Anton Bobytskyi and Eric West defeated Texas A&M's Niall Angus and Alexis Klegou, 8-3, at No. 2 doubles, but gave up the team point after dropping matches at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
In singles competition, the Aggies pushed their lead to 3-0 after straight set wins at No. 6 and No. 3 before Aleksey Bessonov scored for Oklahoma State with a win over Alexey Grigorov, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.
The dual match then came to an end as Oklahoma State's Oleksandr Nedovyesov, ranked No. 15, surrendered a tough two-set loss to Austin Krajicek at No. 1 singles, 7-6 (2), 6-4. It was Nedovyesov's first loss of the 2010 season, bringing his record to 2-1 in dual competition.
The Cowboys, now 1-2 in dual matches, return to action on Feb. 6 when they face Sacramento State at 6 p.m. in Tulsa, Okla.
