Nedovyesov; Bobytskyi Advance at Baylor Invitational

WACO, Texas – No. 1-ranked Oleksandr Nedovyesov and Anton Bobytskyi advanced through the bracket to reach the semifinal round at the Baylor HEB Intercollegiate Invitational Saturday, each winning two consecutive matches in the round of 16 and the quarterfinals.
Nedovyesov easily won both of his matches, defeating Texas A&M's Alberto Bautista, 6-2; 6-2, and also knocking off Texas Tech's Gonzalo Escobar in two sets, 6-4; 6-1.
Bobytskyi advanced through the round of 16 after Rice's Bruno Rosa retired with an injury after the first set of the match. He then beat Baylor's Attila Bucko in three sets, 7-5; 3-6; 6-4.
Aleksey Bessonov also played Saturday, falling to Denver's Yannick Weihs in the consolation bracket, 2-6; 6-3; 7-6(9).
Oklahoma State resumes action Sunday for day three of the Baylor HEB Intercollegiate Invitational. Nedovyesov will face Baylor's Jordan Rux, while Bobytskyi faces Wisconsin Moritz Baumann in the semifinals.
