Nedovyesov Cruises at Baylor Invitational

WACO, Texas – No. 1-ranked Oleksandr Nedovyesov cruised through the first day of competition as the Oklahoma State men's tennis team began its 2009-10 campaign at the Baylor HEB Intercollegiate Invitational.
Nedovyesov advanced through the bracket with a 6-4; 6-3, win over TCU's Marius Cirstea in the round of 64, followed by a 6-4; 6-2, victory over UNLV's Mehdi Bouras in the round of 32. He will face Tulsa's Alastair Barnes Saturday in the round of 16.
Anton Bobytskyi also moved up the bracket on Saturday, claiming a 6-4; 6-3, win over TCU's Zach Nichols in the round of 64 and a 6-4, 6-4 over Rice's Michael Nusslein to advance.
Aleksey Bessonov also competed for the Cowboys, falling to UNLV's Luca Barlocchi, 7-6; 6-0, in the round of 64. He moved on to the consolation bracket, where he defeated Wichita State's Adrian Chermaci, 6-2; 6-4.
Oklahoma State resumes action Saturday for day two of the Baylor HEB Intercollegiate Invitational.
