Karin Kinnerud Named Academic All-American

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Karin Kinnerud was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American women's at-large team it has been announced.
A second-team selection, Kinnerud was honored after graduating Summa Cum Laude in international finance this past May. The Norrköping, Sweden native finished her career as a three-time NGCA All-Scholar pick as well as a three-time Academic All-Big 12 selection.
A member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society, Kinnerud was a four-time OSU Academic Achievement Award recipient and was named to both the Academic Big 12 Honor Roll and the President's Honor Roll on eight occasions.
Kinnerud will continue her education this fall when she begins work toward a master's degree in quantitative financial economics. She was also recently named a recipient of the Dr. Prentice Gautt Postgraduate Scholarship by the Big 12 Conference.
On the course, Kinnerud made 11 starts for the Cowgirls this past season, finishing in the top 20 on two occasions. In addition to a 20th-place tie at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, she posted her best finish of the year at the Big 12 Championship in Lubbock, Texas where she tied for 15th place.
Kinnerud's showing at the Big 12 Championship helped the Cowgirls to their second consecutive league title. She was also in the lineup for OSU's victory at the Ping/ASU Invitational.
Kinnerud made 45 starts as a Cowgirl, tallying six top 10s and a pair of runner-ups during her time in Stillwater.
