Cowboy Netters Nab Spots in NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships

The Oklahoma State men's tennis team will be represented in the NCAA singles and doubles championships, it was announced the NCAA office today.
Junior Oleksandr Nedovyesov will compete in the 64-player singles championship and he will join senior Nathan Byrnes in the 32-team doubles championship. The tournaments will be held May 20-25 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.
Nedovyesov is the No. 2 seed in the singles bracket and earned the Big 12 conference's automatic berth after a 17-3 record this spring. The Alushta, Ukraine native is making his third-consecutive appearance in the singles championship.
Byrnes and Nedovyesov will be making their second-consecutive appearance in the doubles championship. The Cowboy duo was awarded an at-large bid after compiling a 14-3 record this spring. Byrnes and Nedovyesov are currently ranked No. 9 in the ITA rankings.
