Nedovyesov, Byrnes See NCAA Run Comes To An End

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Oklahoma State's Oleksandr Nedovyesov and Nathan Byrnes saw their run in the NCAA Tennis Championship come to an end on Friday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.
Competing as the No. 2 seed in the singles bracket, Nedovesyov had won his first two matches to advance to the round of 16. However, the Alushta, Ukraine native was eliminated in three sets by Arkansas' Blake Strode. Nedovyesov took the first set, 7-6, before Strode bounced back to take the final two sets, 6-4, 6-2.
The Cowboy junior finished the spring campaign with a 20-4 mark.
Nedovyesov returned to the court with Byrnes for the doubles portion of the tournament. The duo had advanced to the round of 16 with their victory over Florida State's Jean-Yves Aubone and Vahid Mirzadeh on Thursday. However, OSU's No. 1 doubles squad saw its season come to an end with a 7-5, 6-3 loss to Steve Forman and Cory Parr of Wake Forest.
Nedovyesov and Byrnes saw their spring campaign draw to a close with a 15-4 record.
