Cowboy Tennis Earns No. 4 Seed in Big 12 Tournament

IRVING, Texas  The Oklahoma State men's tennis team has earned the No. 4 seed in the 2009 Big 12 Tennis Championships that are being held in Norman, Okla. this week, the league office announced Sunday.
The Cowboys will open play against Texas Tech at 9 a.m. Friday. The winner of that matchup will square off against top seed and Big 12 regular season champion Baylor.
OSU (13-6, 3-3) and Texas Tech have faced twice this season. The Red Raiders claimed a 4-2 win March 21 at the Blue Gray Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala. The Cowboys returned the favor with a 4-3 triumph this past Friday in Lubbock, Texas.
The Cowboys have never won a Big 12 title in the 13-year history of the league. Two-time defending champion Baylor has won six tournament titles while Texas and Texas A&M have won three apiece.
