Cowgirls Host Huskers On Senior Night
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (15-13 overall, 4-11 Big 12) will close out its regular season on Saturday when it hosts Nebraska (14-14, 5-10) at 6 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The contest will serve as Senior Night for a quartet of players as Taylor Hardeman, Shaunte' Smith, Shyvon Spears and Jennifer Wallenmeyer will all suit up for the final time at home.
OSU vs. Nebraska ... The Series
Nebraska holds a 30-25 advantage overall in the series. The Cowgirls have won the last two meetings, including a 63-60 win in Stillwater on Senior Night two years ago. The last two contests in Stillwater have been decided by three points or less with the Huskers claiming a 73-71 win in 2005. OSU leads 16-7 all time in Stillwater.
Scouting Nebraska
Nebraska has won four of its last six after picking up a 75-64 victory over Colorado on Tuesday. However, the Huskers are 2-10 this season away from home and have dropped all seven of their Big 12 road contests. The Huskers are led by Cory Montgomery's 14.4 points per game, which ranks eighth in the Big 12. Montgomery also ranks ninth with her 7.6 boards per game and fourth with her 84.8 success rate from the free throw line. Yvonne Turner is among the league leaders with her 2.1 steals per game, ranking her fifth among league players.
