2009 Big 12 Basketball Championships

Oklahoma City will host the 2009 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship in the Ford Center and the Women's Basketball Championship in the Cox Convention Center for the second time in conference history. This year marks the just the second time since the league began play in 1996-97 that any city other than Dallas or Kansas City has hosted the basketball postseason championships.
In 2007, Oklahoma City hosted the events for the first time and received an overwhelming positive response from fans. Oklahoma City is located near the geographic center of the Big 12 Conference, making the city a natural host for the Big 12 Basketball Championships.
