Cowgirls Head To Norman For Round Two Of Bedlam Series Against Oklahoma
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (15-11, 4-9) will attempt to halt a two-game slide on Saturday when it travels to Norman, Okla. to take on No. 2 Oklahoma (24-3, 12-1) at noon. Saturday's Bedlam contest will be televised by the Sooner Sports Network with Bob Carpenter (PxP) and Kenny Mossman (color) serving as the talent.
OSU vs. Oklahoma ... The Series
Oklahoma owns a 47-35 lead in the all-time series and has won the last two after its 93-75 win in Stillwater earlier this month. OSU snapped a 17 game losing streak against their in-state rival last season with an 82-63 win in Stillwater. The Sooners hold a 25-11 advantage in Norman and have won 10 in a row against the Cowgirls at home.
Scouting Oklahoma
Oklahoma comes into this weekend's matchup looking to bounce back from its first conference loss of the season after falling, 57-56, at Texas A&M on Monday. The setback ended a 20-game winning streak for OU and was its first loss since a Nov. 30 loss at top-ranked Connecticut. The Sooners are 14-1 at home this season with their lone loss coming on Nov. 23 against North Carolina. OU ranks among the nation's best in several categories, including scoring offense (5th, 79.0 ppg), field goal percentage (2nd, 49.1) and rebounding margin (4th, +11.2).
