Cowgirls Look To Rebound Against Kansas
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (15-10 overall, 4-8 Big 12) will look to bounce back after Saturday's 74-70 loss to Texas Tech when it hosts Kansas (14-11, 3-9) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The loss to the Lady Raiders dropped OSU to 1-5 at home in league play this season and was its fifth consecutive home loss.
OSU vs. Kansas ... The Series
Kansas leads the overall series against OSU by a 28-22 count. However, the Cowgirls have won the last two and three of the last four. OSU won in Lawrence last year and in the Big 12 Championship quarterfinals as well. The two teams have met on 20 occasions in Stillwater and have each won 10 times with the Cowgirls winning the last four inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Scouting Kansas
Kansas comes to town fresh off an upset win over then-No. 21 Iowa State on Sunday that snapped KU's four-game losing streak. The Jayhawks are 3-8 away from home this season, including an 0-6 mark in Big 12 play. Danielle McCray is among the best scorers and rebounders in the league. McCray's 19 points per game rank second to OSU's Andrea Riley and her 7.6 rebounds are eighth among Big 12 players. McCray is also ninth in the league with her .434 field goal percentage and third with an .845 free throw percentage.
