Andrea Riley Named To Lieberman Award List

STILLWATER, Okla.ÂOklahoma State's Andrea Riley is among 13 candidates for the 10th Annual Nancy Lieberman Award it has been announced by the Nancy Lieberman Award committee.
The award is a national project of the Rotary Club of Detroit honoring the nation's top collegiate point guard in women's Division I basketball. The criteria for the award are the floor leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills that personified Hall of Famer, Nancy Lieberman during her career.
A finalist for the award last season, Riley is currently fourth in the country in scoring at 24.0 points per game and ranks 10th in the country with her 6.3 assists per game. The Dallas, Texas native has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week on two occasions and is among the 20 midseason candidates for the Wooden Award.
The final nominee list for the award was compiled by sportswriters from across the country. They will select three finalists from this list and one winner at the beginning of April. The announcement of the three finalists and one winner will be made during the Final Four Weekend (April 5-7).
This year's award will be presented at a noon luncheon at The Detroit Athletic Club on April 22 in Detroit, Mich.
