Fall 2008: Started her Cowgirl career with a No. 3 doubles first-place finish at the UNLV Fall Invitational with teammate Maryna Tkachenko ... also competed in singles in the tournament ... saw doubles action in the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships.
Personal: Enjoys hanging out with her friends ... daughter of Irina Panova and Alexsandr Semenov ... her father was a professional soccer player for the USSR, who won the Under 21 World Championship in London ... played basketball in high school.
Coach Lubicz-Majewski on Semenova: "She is a hard-working player, who, as a freshman, needs to gain some experience. You can tell she wants to play and is very excited to be on the team. She's just a pleasant person to have on the team. Down the road, she will be a big help to us."
