Cowgirls Travel To Austin To Face Texas
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (14-9 overall, 3-7 Big 12) will look to end its four-game losing streak on Wednesday when it travels to Austin, Texas to face the 12th-ranked Texas Longhorns. Tip is set for 7 p.m. inside the Erwin Events Center. OSU is coming off a 79-71 loss at Kansas State last weekend, while Texas knocked off Iowa State, 55-52, in Ames on Sunday.
OSU vs. Texas ... The Series
Texas has won 22 of the 29 meetings all time between the two schools after claiming a 91-74 win in Stillwater earlier this month. OSU swept the season series two years ago and won two of three last year with victories in Stillwater and in the semifinal round of the Big 12 Championship. The Longhorns own an 11-2 advantage all time in Austin.
Scouting Texas
Texas is in the midst of a five-game winning streak after knocking off Iowa State on Sunday. Texas has won 12 of its 13 games at home this year with the lone loss coming on Jan. 28 to Texas A&M. Texas ranks among the league leaders in several categories. UT is first in free throw percentage and blocked shots as well as second in scoring offense, scoring margin, 3-point field goal percentage. Texas has seven players averaging at least 19 minutes per game and nine players shooting at least 40 percent from the floor.
