About Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State is 10-1 this season and coming off a 77-62 win over La Salle in the All-College Classic on Dec. 21. James Anderson leads OSU and the Big 12 Conference in scoring at 21.8 points per game. Oklahoma State's three guards — sophomore Keiton Page and freshmen Ray Penn and Fred Gulley — have combined for 63 assists and just 33 turnovers, a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio among the primary ball handlers. OSU is averaging just under 12 turnovers per game, the lowest average in school history. Oklahoma State is 10-1 for the eighth time in the last 13 seasons. It's the best start to a season since 2006-07 when the Cowboys started 15-1. Oklahoma State has held 10 opponents to 70 points or less this season.
About Pacific
Pacific is 7-4 overall this season and is currently on a two-game road losing streak. The Tigers lost at Saint Mary's (Calif.) before falling at Santa Clara, 54-53. Pacific is led by junior forward Sam Willard who is averaging 10.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Junior guard Terrell Smith is chipping in 9.7 points per game, and junior guard Demetrece Young leads the team with 34 assists. Young is a Putnam City High School graduate and transferred from Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.
