Cowgirls Set To Host Oral Roberts
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (8-2) will be in search of its fifth-straight win on Tuesday when it hosts Oral Roberts (7-4) at 7 p.m. in Stillwater. The Cowgirls are coming off a 100-68 win over Mercer on Saturday, while ORU lost its first home game of the season, a 99-81 setback to Missouri State on Saturday. Tuesday could be a historic night as Andrea Riley enters play just five points shy of passing Clinette Jordan as the program's all-time leading scorer.
Cowgirls and Golden Eagles ... The Series
The in-state rivals have met on 38 previous occasions with OSU holding a 23-15 advantage. The Cowgirls are 13-3 overall against ORU in Stillwater. OSU currently holds a three-game winning streak in the series after last year's 58-48 home win.
Scouting The Golden Eagles
Oral Roberts enters play looking to snap a two-game losing skid after Saturday's loss against Missouri State. At last check, Kevi Luper led the nation in scoring and the Golden Eagles were first in scoring offense having cracked the 100-point mark three times. Four of the five players in the starting lineup are scoring in double figures. ORU has used the same starting five in each of its 11 games. Three of ORU's losses have come on the road against Big 12 schools (Kansas, Texas and Baylor). The Golden Eagles are 3-3 this season on the road.
