OSU Hosts Homecoming & Hoops

Oklahoma State University will host its annual Homecoming & Hoops on Friday, Oct. 16, at 9 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena, officially kicking off the 2009-10 basketball season. The event is a joint venture by both the OSU Athletics Department and the Homecoming Student Steering Committee.
Both the men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced during the event, including several newcomers. The Cowboy squad features seven new players while nine newcomers dot the Cowgirl roster. Along with intrasquad scrimmages for both teams, there will also be dance competitions, group performances, and a men vs. women dunking exhibition.
The Cowboy Basketball team will play its first exhibition game on Sat., Nov. 7, as OSU hosts Central Oklahoma. Tipoff will be determined once game time for the Cowboy football game at Iowa State has been announced. Oklahoma State's first regular-season game will be Saturday, Nov. 14 vs. Seattle.
OSU's women's team will host Washburn in an exhibition game on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. The Cowgirls will open the 2009-10 season on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. when they host the first round of the Preseason WNIT against Arkansas-Little Rock.

Saturday, Oct. 17
2 p.m. — Homecoming Parade (Main Street)
8:15 p.m. — Oklahoma State vs. Missouri (Boone Pickens Stadium)
