Nedovyesov and Bessonov Reach ITA Regional Finals

TULSA, Okla. - The Oklahoma State men's tennis team continued its outstanding play at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Central Regional Championships Sunday, as top-ranked Oleksandr Nedovyesov advanced to the main draw singles final and the main draw doubles final with teammate Aleksey Bessonov.
Nedovyesov earned his way to the main draw singles final after knocking off Minnesota's Sebastian Gallego, 7-5, 6-2, in the quarterfinals and defeating Arkansas' Chris Nott, 6-3, 7-5, in the semifinals. Nedovyesov has won all five of his singles matches at the event in straight sets. He will face No. 2-seeded Christopher Aumueller of Nebraska in the championship match Monday.
In main draw doubles play, Nedovyesov and Bessonov won a close semifinal match against Arkansas' Nott and Dmitry Lebedev, 8-6, to advance. The pair will face Tulsa's third-seeded duo of Philip Stephens and Ashley Watling in the championship match Monday.
Anton Bobytskyi also competed Sunday, dropping a three-set match against Minnesota's Tobias Wernet in the main draw singles quarterfinals.
Oklahoma State resumes play Monday, when the Cowboys compete for both the main draw singles and main draw doubles Wilson/ITA Central Regional Championships.
