Cowgirls Tip Off Big 12 Play At Iowa State
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (11-2) will begin its 16-game Big 12 slate on Saturday when it travels to Ames, Iowa to face the Iowa State Cyclones at 3 p.m. The matchup will be OSU's first televised game of the year and will be carried by Fox Sports Net. Kevin Eschenfelder will handle the play-by-play duties with Debbie Antonelli providing color analysis.
OSU vs. Iowa State ... The Series
The Cowgirls lead the overall series 24-20 and are 11-9 all time in Ames. However, the Cyclones have won 10 of the last 13 meetings overall. OSU's most recent visit to Ames resulted in a 45-44 Cowgirl win on Jan. 13, 2007 before the Cyclones returned the favor with a 62-57 win in Stillwater last season.

No. 25 Iowa State enters play with a seven-game winning streak after knocking off IPFW, 84-57, on Wednesday night in Ames. The Cyclones have won all eight of their home contests this season. The tilt will be the finale in an eight-game homestand for the Cyclones. Iowa State will be the third ranked opponent the Cowgirls have faced this season, joining Duke and TCU. ISU leads the league with its 8.1 3-pointers per game and have one of the Big 12's top 3-point shooters in Heather Ezell, who leads the league with 2.8 treys per game.
