Cowgirl Basketball Earns 68-60 Road Win At Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. ÂOklahoma State's women's basketball team snapped its two-game losing streak on Wednesday night with a 68-60 win over Missouri with inside Mizzou Arena.
With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 13-5 overall and 2-3 in the Big 12, while the Tigers fell to 10-9 and 1-5. The victory also halted a two-game road losing streak for OSU as well.
The Cowgirls built a 20-10 lead behind nine early points from junior Andrea Riley, while holding the Tigers to a 4-fo-20 effort from the floor through the game's first 10 minutes.
After the Cowgirls built the margin to 14, Missouri went on a 9-0 run before Riley hit a layup in the closing seconds of the half to send OSU into the break up 32-25.
Riley scored 14 points in the first half on her way to a game-high 30 points.
The Dallas, Texas native hit a pair of long 3-pointers to start the second half and push the lead back into double figures. However, Missouri answered with a 10-2 run to cut the margin to 44-39.
OSU countered with a pair of 3-pointers by senior Taylor Hardeman and two layups from Riley to extend the lead back to 13 points with less than eight minutes remaining.
With her point total, Riley surpassed the 1,600-point mark for her career. She also recorded three steals on the night to move into fourth place on the school's all-time list with 208.
Senior Shaunte' Smith finished the evening with 13 points to become the 18th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. Fellow senior Shyvon Spears grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds, matching her career high.
Alyssa Hollins led the Tigers with 17 points
The Cowgirls will travel to Lubbock, Texas this weekend to face Texas Tech at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
