Cowgirls To Take On UTPA Saturday
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (9-2) will play its first game of 2009 on Saturday afternoon when it puts its six-game winning streak on the line against Texas-Pan American (8-7) inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The contest was originally scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip, but was changed earlier this week and will start at approximately 4:30 p.m. The game will begin 30 minutes after the OSU men's contest against Northwestern State, which will tip at 2 p.m.

OSU enters play with a pair of winning streaks, having won six-straight games this season and 30 games in a row at home against non-conference foes. NOTE: OSU's game on Tuesday against Centenary has been moved from 6 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Texas-Pan American enters play saddled with a two-game losing streak after suffering a 56-53 overtime loss on Wednesday against Central Arkansas. The Lady Broncs have played six road games this season, posting a 3-3 mark away from home. Among UTPA's road losses is a 73-27 loss at Baylor on Dec. 16. Teshay Winfrey is the lone player on the squad scoring in double figures with her 12.1 points per game. Winfrey is also the squad's leading rebounder at 6.2 boards per game.
