STILLWATER, Okla. - Three members of the Oklahoma State men's tennis team will begin action on Friday in the Baylor HEB Intercollegiate Invitational in Waco, Texas, at the Baylor Tennis Center.
More than 100 student-athletes from 19 schools will be competing in the tournament, which will feature 22 ranked single players with three in the top 10, including No. 1 Oleksandr Nedovyesov. He and teammate Nathan Byrnes will also compete in doubles as the 10th-ranked tandem in the country.
No. 2 Denes Lukacs of Baylor and No. 6 Arnau Brugues of Tulsa will also be competing in the invitational.
The format for the tournament will include two 64-player singles draws in flights A and B, as well as a 32-team doubles draw in flights A and B.
Sophomore Anton Bobytskyi will join Nedovyesov and Byrnes in singles play in the tournament.
"We're very anxious to play this first big tournament of the fall," OSU head coach James Wadley said. "It is going to be a good gauge to see how our guys are playing against stiff competition."
The tournament will kick off Friday morning and continue through the weekend.
