OSU Releases 2008-09 Cowboy Basketball Schedule

The Cowboys open the exhibition portion of their schedule on Wed., Nov. 5, as they host Rogers State at 7 p.m. Oklahoma State will also host Langston on Sat., Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the second exhibition contest.
OSU will open the regular season at home on Friday, Nov. 14, when the Cowboys host former Cowboy Brooks Thompson and his UTSA Roadrunners. It will be the first of four-consecutive home games to open the season, including a visit from the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, the first meeting between the two schools since Nov. 22, 1996.
Oklahoma State will face Gonzaga in the first round of the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla., on Thanksgiving Day at 8 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ESPN2. Other teams competing in the tournament include Georgetown, Maryland, Michigan State, Siena, Tennessee and Wichita State.
The Cowboys will travel to Seattle the following week to take on the Washington Huskies in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series. The game, scheduled for 9 p.m. CT on Thurs., Dec. 4, will be televised nationally by Fox Sports Net.
OSU will once again play in the annual O'Reilly's All-College Classic at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, hosted by the OKC All-Sports Association, on Sat., Dec. 20. The Cowboys will take on Rhode Island following the Oklahoma vs. Virginia Commonwealth game.
The Pokes open the Big 12 portion of the schedule on Sat., Jan. 10, when they host Texas A&M at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. ESPN's Big Monday returns to Gallagher-Iba Arena on Jan. 26, as the Cowboys host bedlam-rival Oklahoma. ESPN will also be in Stillwater for games against Texas Tech (Wed., Feb. 4 on ESPNU), Texas (Sat., Feb. 28 on ESPN) and Kansas State (Tues., March 3 on ESPN2).
OSU's Big 12 road contests include games at Baylor (Jan. 17), at Nebraska (Jan. 24) and at Texas (Feb. 10), all on the new Big 12 Network (formerly ESPN Regional). Three road games will be televised nationally: Jan. 31 at Texas A&M on ESPN, Feb. 7 at Kansas on ABC and March 7 at Oklahoma on ESPN.
Cowboy Sports Network will televise five games statewide, including the games at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Dec. 14 and the game at Colorado on Feb. 25. These games will have a chance to be picked up by ESPN FullCourt, along with all of the games scheduled for the Big 12 Network.
