Oleksandr Nedovyesov Named To ITA Collegiate All-Star Team

The Cowboy sophomore finished the year ranked second nationally after posting a 24-5 mark this past spring at No. 1 singles while directing OSU to a berth in the round of 16 at the NCAA Championship.
The honor is the third this season presented to Nedovyesov by the ITA, which also named him an All-American as well as its National Player to Watch. In addition, he was selected as the Big 12 Player of the Year after winning conference titles in both singles and doubles.
The Alushta, Ukraine, native was joined on the all-star squad by two-time NCAA champion and top-ranked Somdev Devvarman of Virginia and Georgia's Travis Helgeson, the nation's third-ranked player.
The trio will be honored at an ITA All-Star Team Awards Luncheon on Saturday, August 23. In addition to the luncheon, the honorees will take in the Arthur Ashe Kids Day show, a behind-the-scenes tour of the U.S. Open and a dinner sponsored by the ITA and USTA in New York City.
