Cowboys Set to Face Tulsa in NCAA Second Round

#20 Oklahoma State vs. #9 Tulsa
Oklahoma State's men's tennis team will take on the ninth-ranked Hurricane of the University of Tulsa in second-round action of the NCAA Championship on Sunday. Both teams advanced with opening-round wins at Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Saturday. The Pokes defeated 44^th-ranked Denver, 4-3, while TU defeated unranked Binghamton, 4-0.

Tulsa at a glance
TU is the nation's ninth-ranked team and moved to 22-4 on the season with their romp of Binghamton in Saturday's opening round. With its top-16 seed, Tulsa was selected as the host school for the regional. It is the Hurricane's 10^th trip to the NCAA Tournament. Their last appearance in the postseason came last year when they dropped a first-round match, 4-2, at the hands of Vanderbilt.

Series history
OSU holds a 36-8 record all-time against Tulsa. The two teams met earlier this year with Tulsa claiming a 6-1 victory over the Pokes.

Nedovyesov continues to roll
OSU sophomore Oleksandr Nedovyesov picked up his 19^thsingles win of the Spring season with his defeat of Denver's 36^th-ranked Adam Holmstrom on Saturday. All of Nedovyesov's wins have come at No. 1. With a 5-1 regular season Big 12 record, the Alushta, Ukraine, native won the Big 12 title at No. 1 singles.

Dominant duo
OSU's No. 1 doubles team of junior Nathan Byrnes and sophomore Oleksandr Nedivyesov continue to prove why their the 18^th-ranked doubles tandem in the nation. The duo defeated 12^th-ranked tandem of Niklas Persson and Adam Holmstrom, 8-5, in the Cowboys' defeat of Denver on Saturday. Byrnes and Nedovyesov went undefeated (6-0) in conference play this season on their way to clinching the Big 12 title, and are now 17-4 on the year.
