Cowgirl Golf Moves Into Fourth Place At NCAA West Regional

OSU stands at 10-over 586 after 36 holes, putting them five shots behind third-place Arizona State. Southern California stands as the only team under par after carding an even-par 288 to finish at 5-under 571. UNLV holds down the No. 2 spot with a 578 total.
UNLV's Therese Koelbaek moved to the top of the individual leaderboard with a 68 during her second round to get in with a 7-under total of 137 and three shots ahead of the field.
The Cowgirls were once again led by freshman Jaclyn Sweeney, who posted a 72 on the day. The Andover, Mass., native endured an up-and-down round that included seven pars, six birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey to finish with a level-par round. Sweeney will begin her third round tied for third place at 141.
Junior Pernilla Lindberg shaved two strokes off her opening round of 75 with a 1-over 73 on Friday to move into a tie for 27th place. The Bollnäs, Sweden native made the turn at 2-over, but eagled the 10th and birdied No. 11 on her way to a 1-under inward nine.
Senior Tammy Clelland trails Lindberg by one stroke after posting a round of 75 to come in at 149 and tied for 36th place.
Junior Amanda Johnson finished among the group tied for 74th place at 154, 10-over, after carding a 79.
Fellow junior Karin Kinnerud rebounded from an 83 on Thursday with a 73 of her own to move up 18 spots into a tie for 84th place.
OSU will return to the course tomorrow morning at 8:40 a.m. (PST) for its final round and will be paired with Arkansas and Arizona.
The top eight teams and two individuals on non-qualifying teams will move on to the NCAA Championship at the University of New Mexico's Championship Course May 20-23.
