Oklahoma State's men's tennis team notched its second consecutive conference victory on Friday, claiming a 5-2 win over Nebraska at the Nebraska Tennis Center.
“I thought we played well at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles,” Cowboy head coach James Wadley said. “It is always good to go on the road and get a win and I am happy with the way our guys performed.”
The No. 21 Cowboys (13-6 overall, 2-1 Big 12) claimed the doubles point with wins at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots. Sophomore Oleksandr Nedovyesov and junior Nathan Byrnes, the No. 20 doubles team in the country, zipped to an 8-0 win at the top spot, while senior Ivan Puchkarov and sophomore Dmytro Petrov clinched the point with their 8-6 victory at No. 2.
